Yes! Be sure to remove the electronic smart disk from the cap to avoid condensation or other conditions that may cause moisture in the cap mechanism.
Tritan® container: The container can be refrigerated or frozen. When freezing, do not fill to the top (we recommend no more than 3/4 full) to allow room for the liquid to expand as it hardens.
MyHydrate cap: Remove the electronic smart disk before freezing or refrigerating the cap. Make sure the container is in an upright position.
Using warm liquids in MyHydrate should be fine, but you should avoid the use of extremely hot or boiling liquids. Drinking boiling or hot liquids through the spout can be unsafe.
Tritan® container: Do not boil the container and do not use with boiling or extremely hot liquids. Avoid temperatures over 120° F (50° C).
MyHydrate cap: Take care to not boil the cap and do not use for drinking boiling or hot liquids – the electronic smart disk is water resistant but not water proof. Do not immerse the electronic smart disk in water or it will be damaged!
The MyHydrate electronic smart disk uses a CR2032 lithium battery that is widely available at popular drug, hardware, and electronics stores where batteries are sold. It's easy to change the battery yourself or take the electronic smart disk to a local watch repair shop.
The MyHydrate container holds 22 ounces (650 milliliters, 2.75 cups).
The patented design opens the valve when the button is depressed while tilting to drink or pour and closes automatically when the button is released. Clean regularly as recommended for best results.
Microwaving MyHydrate is not a good idea.
Tritan® container: Do not use the container for warming liquids in the microwave. Do not use for cooking or boiling. Best to avoid the use of any hot liquids.
MyHydrate cap: Never place the cap, including the electronic smart disk, in the microwave because it contains metal parts.
Yes. Place the cap on the top rack of the dishwasher. The container can be placed anywhere in the dishwasher. Be sure to remove the electronic smart disk before washing the cap and container manually or in the dishwasher. And don't forget to separate the cap and container when washing.
MyHydrate is made from FDA food-grade materials that are tasteless and odorless. Wash container and let it air dry before first use. Most odor and taste issues arise when containers are stored in wet areas, when left sealed for long periods of time with liquid inside, or when cared for incorrectly. Frequent cleaning will improve your MyHydrate experience. Routinely clean using a dishwasher without heated drying, or hand wash thoroughly in warm soapy water and let it completely air dry before using again. Separate cap and container when cleaning. Do not immerse electronic smart disk in water or place in the dishwasher.
